This webinar took place on July 18 and covered the Israeli rave and ceremonial psychedelic scene, harm reduction efforts, and drug policy & advocacy for psychedelic-assisted therapy. These themes were analyzed through macro social-work perspectives and Pinni's personal story from growing up in an American Orthodox Jewish family in the West Bank to becoming a psychedelic advocate, community organizer, and researcher. About the Presenter: Pinni Baumol is a psychedelic social worker focused on drug policy, harm reduction, and psychedelic-assisted therapy and integration. Pinni is an ACT therapist, researcher for the Israeli government drug committee, member of SSDP Israel, former Co-Founder of the Israeli Psychedelic Society, and member of the Thank You Plant Medicine leadership team. This panel was held as part of an English speaking event in Israel organized by @oxygen harm reduction education: "How to change your Israeli mind- an evening presenting The psychedelic renaissance in Israel" hosted by @pinnibaumol & Shaun Lacob. we discussed the connection between Jewish, Israeli and psychedelic identities, and the potential revolution psychedelics may have on Judaism and Israeli perspectives. The panel included @pinnibaumol and 3 panelists: Aaron D. Cherniak- a clinical psychologist and researcher, completing his doctorate in psychedelic science at Stockholm University in partnership with Reichman University/IDC Herzliya. He is the Director of JPSYCH - a lab studying Jewish spirituality and mental health. His research deals with mechanisms related to psychedelics' therapeutic potential and psychedelics' link to spirituality. Tamar Einy Lehman Tamar is a music and voice therapist, a group analyst and a psychotherapist. She is a board member of the IIGA. She runs a private practice for adolescents and adults in Jerusalem. She conducts groups at the Israel Ministry of Defense. Tamar teaches at the David Yellin Academic College , serves as a YAHAT (Israeli Association for Creative Arts Therapies) supervisor and is the chief editor of the book, A Group Story: Group Therapists and Facilitators Write About Their Journey with Groups. rabbi Ami Silver (M.S.W) Ami is a rabbi and psychotherapist based in Jerusalem. He is a clinical social worker (MSW) and he incorporates somatic and experiential therapy modalities into his practice. He has also participated as a therapist in psychedelic-assisted clinical trials with MAPS Israel, for the treatment of PTSD.
